Opening Upgradation of New Schools

1. Establishment of Primary Schools:-

As per the Uttar Pradesh Free and Compulsory Child Education Rules, 2011, Section 6, the following criteria are defined for opening new schools:

• Primary Schools: Schools will be established in areas where no school exists within a 1 km radius and with a minimum population of 300.
• Upper Primary Schools:Schools will be established in areas where no school exists within a 3 km radius and with a minimum population of 800.

Example:
A new Primary school was established in Mirzapur 2. Construction of Multi-Storey School Buildings:-

To enhance access to schools near residential colonies in urban areas, a total of 115 multi-storey school buildings have been constructed under Samagra Shiksha, providing education for classes 1 to 8.

3. Upgradation of Primary Schools to Upper Primary Schools:-

To ensure student retention in primary and upper primary schools, additional facilities are being created under Samagra Shiksha, including:
